ISO 9001

Quality standard

Having a quality management system implies that one has created a structure for how to work with quality issues. Furthermore, there are solid business practices and routines documented in a quality manual. Customers naturally demand products with characteristics that meet their needs and expectations. When working with a quality management system these needs and expectations are expressed in the product specifications.

The customers' requirements can be specified either by the customer or by the NDE Offshore. In both cases, it is ultimately the customer who decides whether the product is acceptable or not. NDE Offshore improves and refines its products and services in response to changes in customer needs and expectations and technological advances.

ISO 14001

The environmental management system

The environmental management system is a tool utilized to carry out effective environmental work. It is based on a process which includes environmental policy, planning, implementation and monitoring as well as measures for continuous improvement. The environmental management system is based on the environmental impact the activities can cause. The identification of this impact provides a basis for the establishment of environmental objectives and an action plan to achieve goals that are consistent with a comprehensive environmental policy.

A key component of the environmental management system is to identify and monitor the handling of the legal and other requirements to which the company subscribes. The environmental management system contributes to distinct accountability, which leads to increased awareness and clarifies the requirements relating to staff competence. In conjunction with this, documentation and performance management procedures are established, as well as contingency to deal with any emergency situations.

IRATA

Industrial Rope Access Trade Association

The Industrial Rope Access Trade Association, IRATA, has now come to be used in a wide range of repair, maintenance, inspection and access work, world wide.
Since it provides an unrivalled safety record, a quick set-up and dismantling time and no need for invasive access equipment or disruption of the site, the IRATA system of rope access continues to increase in popularity.

IRATA International has in place a continuously evolving regime of work procedures that members are required to follow and which are monitored for compliance to ensure that a safe system of work is established and maintained.
The Association directs and manages through its members the training of all workers seeking its qualifications. This sets IRATA International member companies apart from rope access companies that are not subject to such a detailed, accurate and thorough scheme.

"IRATA companies complete their work with confidence and assurance, the certainty of expertise and the value of a service that has proved itself around the world. The training given to IRATA technicians follows a strict work based syllabus that delivers highly committed personnel who are determined to deliver safe working. Those conducting the training are rope access experts, not general work-at-height instructors, and have many years of experience."

Achilles

Joint Qualification Scheme

Achilles works with the identification, qualification, evaluation and monitoring of suppliers on behalf of the purchasing organisations worldwide.

Achilles Joint Qualification Scheme is a means by which suppliers can qualify for delivery to the operating companies and main contractors. The qualification scheme is based on the establishment of the EU internal market and the EES agreement. Procurement activities within oil and gas companies with mining permits on the Danish and Norwegian continental shelf are governed by legislation and regulations. Within the construction building sector Achilles carries out supplier assessments, either based on written evidence and/or on-site audits. The information is then made available to selected users.

The services are primarily targeted at business-critical contracts focusing on safety, health, the environment and quality management systems and they allow the supplier to present the results of an entire industry in a single audit.
